SSC JE Exam 2018 Strategy For Clear Preliminary Exam Paper 1
SSC Junior Engineer 2018 Paper-1 Exam will be conducted online computer base by the Staff Selection Commission across the country on first week of Jan 2018 . The SSC JE Exam will be held to recruit suitable candidates for the post of Junior Engineer in various government department.

The common entrance test of the SSC Junior Engineer Exam consists of two papers. Paper - I is an objective type based paper which is taken by computer base online (200) while Paper - II is subjective type (300).
Paper - I has the following sections:
General Intelligence and Reasoning (50) General Awareness (50)
Civil Engineering Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering (100)
Civil Engineering Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering (100)
Point A: The first two sections are compulsory for Civil and Electrical Branch while the candidate can choose to answer any one of the rest of three sections which are Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering. This will depend on the option specified by the candidate while filling the application form.
Point B: There is negative marking of ¼ marks for every wrong answer.
Point C: Paper one has a weightage of 200 marks. The sections of General Intelligence and Reasoning and General Awareness carry 50 marks each.
Point D: The General Engineering part where the candidate can choose any one of the options of Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering is for 100 marks (all question on basic of engineering branch).
Point E: The total time allotted to finish Paper-I is 2 hours (So keep eye on watch).
Paper - II has three parts General Engineering which are:
Part A – Civil & Structural
Part B – Electrical
Part C – Mechanical
Part B – Electrical
Part C – Mechanical
Point A: In Paper - II the candidate has to attempt only one of the three parts in General Engineering. This paper has a weightage of 300 marks and has to be attempted in the allotted time of 3 hours.
Point B: Only those who qualify Paper - I can take Paper - II.

The first step is to go through the syllabus for the exam on the official website of SSC. This will give you a general idea of the topics you need to prepare. Once you go through the syllabus write down the topics you have absolutely no idea about and try to start preparing these topics first. This will give you more time to prepare topics that you know nothing about instead of keeping these till the end when you might be tempted to completely skip that topic!

You need to get the SSC exam books which are designed for the purpose of the SSC exam. Make sure you buy the book for each section of the paper so you do not have to worry about its credibility.
It is difficult to plan your day and incorporate study hours if you aren’t used to studying every day. But cracking the SSC Junior Exam will need dedication and it is best if you learn time management.
